Living in North Carolina has been a life-long dream of mine.  It might sound silly, but it’s true.  As a child growing up in the hot, dry Arizona desert, family vacations to visit extended family in North Carolina were akin to visiting a famous amusement park.  The tall, green trees, lakes, lightning bugs, beaches, friendly people, delicious food; it was all magical to me.  The seeds of living in North Carolina were firmly planted in my heart during my childhood. It was a happy place where I wanted to live.

Years ago, my young family’s adventure began when a job opportunity moved us from Arizona to Cleveland, Ohio.  Life in the Upper Midwest was getting us closer to my North Carolina dream, but it wasn’t quite the same.  Although my husband and I enjoyed raising our family in a small suburb of Cleveland, the winters were long and the summers too short.  Years went by and another job opportunity in the Research Triangle Park, just outside of Raleigh, finally presented itself.  I was finally going to live in the South.

Life in North Carolina has been everything I imagined it would be.  I absolutely love discovering all our great state has to offer and sharing my journey of becoming Southern on my Instagram account, aptly named onbecomingsouthern.  My hope is to inspire others, that they too will find joy in their own journey of becoming.  And if your journey brings you to the Raleigh area, it would be my delight to help you find a place to call home.  I am passionate about helping others buy and sell real estate.  I know what it is like to pack up a home with young kids underfoot, say good-bye to friends and family, and set off on a journey to a new place.
